Take a walk on the wet side!

Sea Trek St Maarten is a unique, easy, safe and exciting way to discover the underwater world in St Maarten. All you need to do is walk and breathe.  The tour takes approximately 2.5 hours. We meet you at Bobby’s marina in Philipsburg to sign in and get the shuttle.  It’s a 15 minute boat ride to Little Bay.  On the Sea Trek platform you will receive a full safety/information briefing.  There is safe dry storage for your belongings.

While you are underwater, the air pressure inside the helmet keeps the water at around shoulder height.  You can wear prescription glasses and your hair stays dry. Assisted by a safety diver, you go down a ladder to reach our concrete track on the ocean floor, 20 ft down. The underwater time is approximately 25-30 minutes. There are several safety divers with you underwater at all times.  After the trek, you climb up the same ladder.  You will have some time to snorkel/swim if you want- gear is included.  The boat has plenty of shade as well as sun.  You will need underwater shoes – we provide them for free or you can bring your own.

On your underwater tour you will experience our beautiful marine park. There is a sunken submarine, helicopter, plane, canons from Ft Amsterdam and more. All are Fish Condos now. King Neptune will greet you as you start your trek. Hundreds of colorful reef fish will accompany us too!! You can bring a camera for your own use and we will be taking photos of you and your group all along the trek.

After your trek, you can view photos taken of you during your Sea Trek. The photos are available for sale on a USB drive.  Also available for purchase are tee shirts, bottled water, sodas, and snacks. You can pay with cash or credit card.  A 3% fee will be added to all cc purchases.

Schedules vary by week and subject to weather conditions.  If we need to cancel due to weather- it is a full refund.  If you do not show up without a 24 hour notice, it is a 25% no show fee.

To be able to participate in Sea Trek, you need to be at least 8 years old, able to walk and climb a ladder, equalize/pop your ears and you should be in good overall physical condition. Before the tour, we ask you to sign a waiver-both for medical and liability. There is no swimming involved, so even if you can’t swim this tour is open to you! Sea Trek is not recommended for guests with physical disabilities, a pacemaker, claustrophobia or women over 3 months pregnant. If you suffer from epilepsy, heart problems or severe asthma, you cannot participate in this tour, unless you have a signed written clearance from your doctor.  Once on the tour at Sea Trek, there are no refunds so please read the waiver completely/answer honestly and ask necessary questions prior to departure.
